Cynthia McClure, raised in Parke County, grew up learning how to sew and quilt from her mother and grandmothers. Now retired, she has time to develop her interest for all kinds of textile arts that was started so many years ago. Silk painting and dying have captured her attention, with art quilting interests as well.

 

She recently moved a bit closer to home from Indianapolis to Crawfordsville, where she happily resides with her husband Michael. She enjoys being a member of the Sugar Creek Quilt Guild, leading the Bainbridge Sovereign Grade Fellowship Quilt Club, and teaching workshops on textile art.
